Our story
Solent Learning Partnership supports children who need a calmer, more personalised path through learning, especially those who feel school isn't quite the right fit right now. Children thrive when they feel safe, valued and involved in their learning, and every part of our approach reflects this.
About Jade
I've spent over twenty years teaching primary children and I've learned that children make the most progress when they feel relaxed, supported and able to be themselves. My tutoring style is calm, relational and child-centred. I take the time to build trust, listen carefully and create a predictable space where learning feels achievable.
Outside of teaching, I'm happiest spending time with my family, paddle boarding along the river, pottering on my allotment or looking after our animals. Those parts of my life keep me grounded and I bring the same steady, warm energy into every session. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD so I understand first hand how important it is for children to feel accepted and able to learn in ways that work for them. Many children think differently, process differently or need a gentler pace, and that's something I value and support.
As Solent Learning Partnership grows, my aim is to offer a wider range of support for families and schools across the South Coast. Everything I build is rooted in connection, confidence and helping children feel genuinely capable.
The children I support often:
-
need a calm, steady adult who helps them feel safe and understood.
-
worry about getting things wrong or feel anxious about learning
-
find it hard to stay focused unless they feel connected to the person teaching them
-
are high attainers who benefit from deeper challenge and clear structure
Maths was something I had to work hard at when I was younger. It wasn't until I trained as a teacher, breaking concepts down, finding different ways to explain ideas and watching how children learn that everything clicked. That journey is why maths is now my favourite subject to teach. I know what it feels like to be stuck or unsure. I help children to move from, 'I can't do this' to 'I understand this now.'
Parents trust me because I build strong relationships, involve children in their learning and help them feel confident, capable and proud of their progress. Every child deserves to feel seen, supported and successful, and that's at the heart of everything I do.
